Embeddable 1 1/2 inch Brooch Back. Embed the .999 fine silver brooch back base mount into the clay to make a secure mechanical connection with the clay. Push the base mount into the clay until the flat base is in contact with the clay surface and the tabs are fully embedded. Using a colour shaper tool and a small amount of metal clay, fill any void that the tabs may make in the clay. Then, fire the base mount into the metal clay. After firing, insert and align the notches on the base of the nickel silver brooch back into the opening in the base mount. Then squeeze the sides of the base mount, preferably using parallel action pliers, to securely capture and lock the brooch back into place. PLEASE NOTE that the brooch back is made from Nickel Silver and should not be allowed to come into contact with the skin.
